Alumni UK Career Connect – Azerbaijan is a half-day, in-person event designed to support UK alumni in Azerbaijan with their career development and professional networking. The programme includes a workshop tailored to alumni needs and an evening networking reception bringing together senior alumni, sector professionals and guests from the British Council and the British Embassy in Baku.
This event is part of the British Council’s global Alumni UK initiative, which connects UK alumni around the world with opportunities to enhance their careers, expand their networks and stay engaged with the UK.
The workshop will take place on Saturday 6 December 2025 from 14.00 to 17.00, followed by the networking reception at 18.00, both at The Landmark Hotel Baku.
Who is this event for?
The workshop is suitable for UK alumni currently living in Azerbaijan, particularly early- and mid-career professionals seeking practical career insights and new professional connections.
The evening reception will bring together workshop participants, senior alumni and sector contacts, offering high-value networking opportunities. Guests from HR, recruitment and partner organisations may also participate.
What to expect
The programme has been designed using insights from the recent Alumni UK Azerbaijan survey, which highlighted strong interest in remote and international work and local career opportunities. The event will feature two conversational panels led by experienced professionals, including UK alumni and selected non-alumni experts with relevant international or HR expertise.
