British Council successfully partnered with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan Republic within Theatre partnership project initiated in 2012. The goals of the project were to organize extensive capacity-building activities for actors and backstage staff, to present cutting-edge performances invited from the UK and to train the actors and backstage staff.
The Leenane Trilogy by Martin McDonaugh was staged at the Theatre of Young Spectators in March 2014 by Jan Willem van den Bosch and performed by 12 Azerbaijani actors.
The show is in the repertoire of the theatre in 2015-2016.
