About the films

The BAFTA 2020 Shorts programme includes a selection of the live action and animation short film nominees selected in 2020. The programme represents storytelling that reveals the breadth and diversity of British society, together with world class technical flair, and features some of our finest acting talents. This programme is the perfect package to develop international audiences and showcase the UK's on-going tradition of producing world class short film.

Azaar

A tribe of women await the return of their men from war. Azaar, one of the last girls in the village, is intertwined between her mother. grandmother and the rest of the tribe. as she comes to learn the true cost Of womanhood.

Goldfish

The online registration for the British Film Festival will be available from 22 January 2021. Every film will be available to watch at any time until 22 February 2021, but has to be completed within 48 hours once started.
